"Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness."
~Psalm 29:2
The congregation of Hampstead Baptist Church comes from various backgrounds with various traditions and preferences for how they enjoy worshipping God. When we gather corporately, Hampstead Baptist embraces the diversity of the congregation by worshipping God together in a balanced, blended format of traditional hymns, Southern Gospel, and contemporary music. God enjoys them all when they're offered with sincere hearts, so when we lead the people in worship, we do so in ways that guide them to worship God in just that way! As of February 2024, Michael Compton is now leading our worship and music ministries! Updates to this page will be posted as the Lord guides Michael in his leadership.
Praise Team
The HBC Praise Team leads the congregation in worship most Sundays. The style is diverse, with hymns, Southern Gospel, and contemporary. Various instruments are used, depending on the song.
Choir
The choir is presently rehearsing weekly on Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m. in the sanctuary with Michael. New members are always welcome and no audition is required.
Handbells
Hampstead Baptist Church has handbells and accompanying equipment and supplies. Many beautiful songs have been played to glorify God in the past. HBC looks forward to renewing this ministry soon.
Audio/Visual
The A/V Team helps ensure that worship is seen and heard, both in the sanctuary and streaming online. It's all behind-the-scenes, but helps make the worship experience more enjoyable. The team is growing and would love to have more people who enjoy technology to join the rotation for sound, streaming, or both! Training is available.
