Men's ministry

"Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong."

~1 Corinthians 16:13

The goal of the men's ministry at Hampstead Baptist Church is to draw men closer to God, to build relationships among other men, and to provide opportunities to reach out and serve.  It's the hope of the men's ministry for all active men to:

  • Serve their families and community with the end goal to be more Christ-like.
  • Show love and support to our pastors and church family while doing life together.
  • Be the men that God designed us to be.
  • Always remember who we are (children of God) and who we belong to.
The men of HBC serve the church at various times and in various, assorted ways.  There are also monthly meetings to share a meal (sometimes breakfast, sometimes dinner) and try to encourage one another.  Men of all ages are welcome and are welcome to bring along their young sons as well.
When I took over the men's ministry in late 2021, we focused on a theme of "encouragement" for the first year.  As the world tries to bring men down, we need to encourage each other. That's what I saw missing at HBC at the time.  In the middle of the mess, life happens... and as life happens, we all need encouragement.
1 Thessalonians 5:11 says, "So encourage each other and build each other up."

In 2023, we focused on Hope-- for nothing is impossible with God. There is always Hope.  The entire Bible is filled with Hope. The living Hope.  Not a doubting hope as the world wants us to have; an encouraging Hope that only comes from above.  Romans 12:12 says, "Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer."

In 2024, the men will be focusing on our Foundation.
